The Entertainment Center, a small outdoor theater and dance space in the heart of Chicago’s South Side, has received preliminary approval to open its doors to the public, according to a news release.
The new entertainment center at 1325 W. Pulaski Ave.
is expected to open by the end of 2018.
The Entertainment Center is part of a multi-million-dollar redevelopment of the former Coney Island Theatre that includes the construction of a new theater and restaurant.
Construction of the Entertainment Center will also include a new public plaza and new restrooms.
The entertainment center will feature a new rooftop bar, a lounge area and a retail area.
The theater will also be expanded to accommodate up to 200 seated patrons.
Construction on the new theater is expected the first phase of a $30 million redevelopment.
The Entertainment Centre is expected be completed in 2018.
